Deforestation-Essay
Deforestation has both positive and negative effects on the Earth. When people think of deforestation, they believe the effects are simply trees being cut down but it’s more than that. Deforestation depletes the ozone layer, triggers soil erosion, destroys animal’s natural habitats, and disturbs the air we breathe. At least 80% of our forests have been destroyed. The consequence of deforestation affects not only the landscape but the air all living organisms need to exist on planet earth
Deforestation, the removal of trees, negatively impacts the quality of our environment. The land is converted into a non-forest use. Deforestation is illegal in some places, but very profitable. Therefore, illegal forestation is wide spread. Non- industrialized areas use wood from trees for cooking and heat sources. The logging industry is responsible for a large portion of legal deforestation. Another reason for deforestation is urban growth. In addition, not all deforestation is intentional. Wildfires and over grazing can lead to mass deforestation. Deforestation occurs for many reasons. Trees are cut down to clear land for agriculture, used to produce paper, clear land for grazing cattle, source of fuel, and are milled into wood for production of buildings and homes. Deforestation is necessary for the production of these merchandises for us humans to survive and animals to live.
Reforestation is the opposed of deforestation. If deforestation can be considered of nature, reforestation is the sought-after healing process. In reforestation, forests are replanted with trees. In years, the forests would be significantly alive again. In conclusion I recommend that we as a community try to prevent using a lot of paper, plant more trees, start recycling more and try to start reforestation to stop deforestation. If we all start to use less and contribute more to the earth then the earth will give back to us in the future.
